London, Hong Kong, Chestnut Hill…native New Englanders return to their roots!
A playful project, fearless lovers of color, world travelers. We completed designing this house last year and I am just thrilled that it’s featured in Design New England this month!
A global tone is set at the entrance. Walking through the door of this 1920s English Tudor styled house, you are greeted by a touch of zen, announcing an Anglo-Asian ambiance.
A very elegant, but totally approachable living room. Using my clients’ striking art collection as a jumping off point for each room, I pulled colors from the art and built the home’s décor around it.
The bold action of color and pattern carries into the dining room, with strong art, zesty stripes and zigzags.
Bright, lively and fresh, the family room reflects the youthful energy of this two teenager household.
This powder room might just be my favorite place in this house. Chic and worldly, the stunning wall covering marries beautifully with the custom designed clean lines of the vanity and vessel sink.
With layers of understated luxury Ahhh….all stress melts away as you enter the restful master bedroom retreat.
The unwinding continues in the spa-like master bath. We took a warren of small, under-utilized rooms, opened them up, and reconfigured them to create a spacious and tranquil haven.
The beauty of returning home is enjoying family time and the distinct New England seasons!
So much for now…Xoxo Vani
