September…it brings mixed feelings. I’m sad to see the summer end, but love the festive feel the change in seasons brings as everyone wakes up from their summer haze!
Here in the studio, we are busy at work putting the final touches on projects, as we are starting new ones…but a few exciting side ventures that I really want to tell you about.
I have nothing but utmost respect for David Webster ~ his incredible style and discerning taste, so I’m really honored that he offered me the opportunity to showcase my art in such a divine setting.
This is just a little sample of what’s on view – do stop by and check out the full line up
I kicked off the season with a first for me – a podcast! Million Dollar Decorating is a really fun website that features interviews with the world’s leading designers, decorators, architects and artisans. You can hear my thoughts on design, catch a few stories and relax to the voice of the very smooth and suave host, James Swan, here:
Back in the studio, we’re having a grand time setting the scene for ‘Cocktails with the Maharani’, our bar cart entry in October’s “Heading Home for Dinner” charity auction. Here’s our inspiration pic:
Channeling a bygone era of opulent style evoking the Raj, we’re imagining the Queen’s boudoir set for her evening aperitif. Sumptuous silk saris, fine silver accessories, and glistening cut glassware complete the regal mélange.
All profits go to Heading Home, a non-profit that re-houses and provides a pathway to self-sufficiency for Boston area families. We’re so pleased to be able to contribute to this wonderful organization!
Next time around, I’ll have finished photos of the cart as well as some shots of interior design projects we’re completing. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek to give you food for thought…
